Official DEMO SUBMISSIONS FOR CEMF 2012

CEMF 2012 in keeping with tradition will be keeping the CEMF free stage. The CEMF free stage is made up of DJ’s and Live Perfomers who have met the criteria listed below and are willing to donate there time and talent. All submissions are judged by the CEMF festival Committee as a group enteries can be made now through to May 30 212 decisions will be made in June. Criteria Please provide a BIO including type of music, latest shows (if any), and reason for being a DJ. CEMF 2012

Calgary Electronic Music Festival, an inner city celebration of electronic culture, is a two day festival taking place at Shaw Millennium Park in the heart of Calgary down town.
September 14th 2pm -11pm & 15th 12pm-11pm gates will open and feature 3 DJ stages with the main stage hosting head liners from all over the world performing various spectrums of electronic music. KIDS ZONE complete with bouncy castles games and much more, PERFORMING ARTIST, ART GALLERYS, COMMUNITY GROUPS, FOOD VENDOR / MARKET AREA (comprised of Calgary based business),WORK SHOPS, & a BEER GARDEN. (with city approval)
After successful events in the past with over 2500 people attending CEMF is going to dig some roots in Calgary and continue providing a cultural festival for the citizens who reside here.

The merchant / vendor market area will be mostly made up of private 10X10 tents, . Items to be sold would be Calgary Electronic Music Festival merchandise, local clothing stores, information booths, fitness and health, food and beverage, handmade crafts, art, and novelty items.

CEMF believes in community and is offering a free workshop area for anyone or company looking to promote and demonstrate their activity or group. With returning activities such as
belly dancing,
meditation,
& hula-hoop dancing.
A new addition in the works is children’s yoga; we are hoping to fill more time slots this year and are currently putting the call out to all instructors who wish to participate.

This year there will be a marked off area specific to the workshop instructors as indicated on the map. In this area will be a list of the workshop times and Instructors.

The Calgary Electronic Music Festival is sure to be a massive event this summer. With the opportunity to bring out thousands of people to Millennium Park. The 2010 addition was eye opener for everyone and we would like to keep the positive atmosphere and community alive.

The Calgary Electronic Music Festival is a huge event and wants nothing more than the people of Calgary to come down and have good clean fun for the day. To help manage any bad apples that might make their way down to the park. We have decided to contract out security to MacCon.

There will be fencing and Security on site run through MacCon

please leave these items at home if you come with these items they will be taken and possible no entry to the festival.

PARKING AT THE FESTIVAL, There is loads of 2h parking all along the st community areas. but i do suggest parking in the city center lots for $2 all day and jumping the free C-Train 1 stop to the end of the line. There is parking in the lot beside the park but it will cost you over $25 for the whole day.

STAPLES IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO PARK AND YOU WILL GET TOWED!
